How to Plan Your Marketing Plan Without Going Plain Crazy

After reading this piece on the content marketing trends, you have to wonder: is that all we need to know? Absolutely not. You'd have to be living under a rock to not know that technology has taken over just about every industry out there -- including marketing. Hence why you need to be prepared overall (not just with the tools that are out there) for the onslaught that is the acclimation of your new best practices in marketing --

Again, Though, How in the Heck Do You Start With a Marketing Plan?

Research. That's what you need to do. But focus on one thing at a time. PubCon is a great way to get contacts and start learning about what trends are out there in the marketing industry, specifically with content marketing. As you research, though, set yourself up for any certifications, training sessions, seminars, and other proficiencies you absolutely need to focus on before jumping into those shark-infested waters.

Jump the gun too quickly, and you just might forget your spear gun or wetsuit. The sharks like it when you're not paying attention.

The main thing you want to remember is this: you don't need to rush into trying things out. Focus on the inner workings of the Facebook ad campaign. Test. Test. More tests. In fact, isn't copywriting all about A/B testing anyway? The same now goes for MARTECH best practices!

You Start Off First With Planning Out Your Marketing Plan

Outline everything you want to learn and how long it will take to learn it. Need that Adwords certification? Get it. Take the time to complete it. Once you've checkmarked your plan for your marketing plan, then you can execute that marketing plan as effectively as possible.

You essentially know what you're doing, presumably. That's because you planned to know it all in advance.

It does sound like a lot of work. We get it. The good news is we at PDR Digital Content can help with the plan. Give us a shout-out! We'll keep you safe in that marketing ocean.
